Di Palomo

I have always had a soft spot for Italy.  It started many years ago when my parents took us on family holidays to Venice, Tuscany and Sicily.  My belly immediately tuned into the gigantic pizzas, the lightness of the gelati and the pasta dished out in the many trattorias where we ate.

As I grew so did my awareness for the ragazzi which as a result triggered my love for the linguo – I studied Italian from the age of 16 right through university and made sure to embark on as many school trips available to keep up with my love: ITALY.

I now live and work in UK…something has gone terribly wrong I know. I reconnect with my love at every opportunity with food of course, cinema and most recently tested a range of products from Di Palomo.

As part of a review campaign with Di Palomo and fuelmyblog I was sent the Di Palomo White Grape Aloe Butter and the Bath Shower Cream to test.

A lot of care and thought have been put to develop this range and you can tell that the folks behind the brand have a strong bond with Italy.  The packaging is designed with Italian style and the choice of fragrances is very well balanced without being over powering.

I do a lot of swimming at the moment and it’s a real treat to take along the shower gel.  It leaves a subtle flowery scent.  The body butter can be mistaken for a proper Italian gelato…if only – the texture is on the compact side the positive aspect of this is that very little is needed and it leaves a very well hydrated skin – definitely my best body friend this winter.

You can follow Di Palomo on facebook and twitter,  with Christmas just round the corner I would recommend visiting their website and have a good browsing through their range of products, they have some very good gift sets available within a very reasonable price range.

Hertford Heath Balls Wood

On the search for Cèpes yet again this week-end this time in Balls Wood, the ground and surrounding trees are the perfect environment for it…but not a mushroom in sight, the ground is too dry, what we did find however is a rather large white house standing like a sore thumb in the middle of a big empty green space…the x-factor house…shushhhh

Mellow yellow evening in the house….
