I have been meaning to blog my thoughts on a breo watch I recently bought, apologies if you came to look at pictures I had to get this out and close my chapter on it. So here is my breo watch review:
The breo watch - I was immediately sucked in by the light & minimalistic look of the watch when perusing through the in-flight magazine on the way to Cuba. Its price reflected the weight, I had mentally “bought” the watch before the cabin attendant had even resumed counting the passengers. I won’t mention the fact that it also claims to improve concentration, sleep and moods…
A month on it now gives random time and did quite the opposite of uplifting my moods … I can’t help but feel that I have fallen for a piece of “rubber” wrapped up in glossy and ingenious marketing dust.
I bought the watch on a spur of the moment with cash and discarded the flimsy box it came in – big mistake of course looking back, I guess I did not expect it to last 3 years at the time but certainly more than a few weeks…
Talking to folks and relatives I quickly realised that I was not the only one who experienced a broken breo within weeks of buying it.
Last Friday I engaged with breo on twitter:
In all fairness to breo I received an email 5 days later confirming what I knew already : with no proof of buying they would not be able to help me. Oh and apologizing that their twitter account was faulty…oh the irony…
It is not a big deal and did not cost much but I would much rather spend £10.00 on my friend’s charity run than waste it on a piece of rubber. I am uncomfortable with the thought that possibly thousands of rubber watches are being left and dismissed by breo and how little responsability they seem to take for it.
If you have experienced a faulty breo, this is the place to discuss it. I welcome breo here as well of course with any insights, metrics on returns and customer service success stories you are all welcome!
In the meantime I make this post the unofficial breo’s cemetery…RIP.
