<p>I enjoyed watching last night&#8217;s rebranding of Margate on <a href="http://www.bbc.co.uk/apprentice/episode-extras/video/item_200147.shtml">The Apprentice</a></p>
<p>Then this morning I caught a glimpse of this video on BBC News and felt compelled to add it to mon petit blog.</p>
<p>I am not sure if <a href="http://www.visitblackpool.com/">the board of tourism in Blackpool</a> will succeed in attracting the French but one message came across: Blackpool is changing and adapting to the more demanding *sophisticated* market.</p>
<p>I love the self-mockery and cheesiness of the video&#8230;but perhaps it could have emphasized on the Lancashire food culture &#8211; The French love experiencing new food and traditions and would no doubt enjoy  sampling  the <a href="http://www.visitlancashire.com/site/food-and-drink/lancashire-caf-s-and-tea-rooms">English tea &amp; cakes</a> ritual!</p>
<p>I have never been to Blackpool &#8211; have you?</p>
