a slice of a teenager head

Someone asked me last week what it was like to have a teenager in the house – I could not really think of anything bad to say. Still,  it got me thinking and I truly believe that we as a family have recently embarked on a beautiful challenging journey of emotions.  We tread on thin ice a lot of the times, say all the things we promised ourselves we would never say, we regularly have to shut the bedroom door to avoid the sight of chaos only to push force the same door open a few days later to retrieve the expensive mascara bought a few weeks ago.   We observe, disapprove often,  admire greatly, miss the little girl we could simply pick up and cuddle better, smile at the sarcastic humor that suddenly appeared from nowhere.  Sometimes she lets us in her world very briefly.  It’s a nice world I think I vaguely remember it…
