A cold walk on a grey December along The River Lea between Ware and Hertford, first Sunday here in UK. A walk taken many times before on bikes, pushing buggies, running. It felt almostĀ like a reunion walk one that always has a soothing effect, a bit of Ware and Hertford reclaimed by a simple walk…we are back we really are…

Oh, I’m here ….. I was just Googling ….. oh never mind. Two facts come to mind:-
1. It’s easy to spend a penny for free if you get caught short in Ware town centre – thanks to East Herts Council’s new community toilet scheme. The council will pay the businesses an annual fee towards their running costs.
2.Home of the Great Bed of Ware, an unusually large bed known for the initials carved on it by many visitors. The bed was built between 1590 and 1600. It was mentioned by both Shakespeare and Johnson and is now located in London’s Victoria and Albert Museum.
As always young Froglet, lovely piccies, wonderful composition and a very dodgey Fraccy-like title …… [get your finger ready to hit the spam button - tee hee]
never underestimate the power of Google! I hope we will be able to push your wheelchair along The River Lea one day. I feel sentimental about the place, walked along as a lost student, saw my son ‘s favorite teddy drown in it, fed ducks with the children, fished Langoustines…fell in love, all in various order…this is my home!
Teddy drowned!!!!?! …… no rescue attempt? …… this is dreadful!!!!! – I’m upset now …….
oh yesss there was a rescue…that’s another post….of course I was too busy laughing to be of any help in the drama…
You laughed!!!! – I knew that goddesses were cruel …. but I had no idea how cruel ….. *stunned silence* [in your dreams - tee hee]
Lovely to have you back
Thanks 70! x
