I am a descendant of 2 differing family lines that emigrated from La Rochelle and Marseilles after The Edict of Fountainebleu–revoking the Edict of Nantes in the late 1680′s. I will be visiting La Rochelle this fall for three months to discover what I can of any remaining relatives or any further documentation of what relatives I do have information on. I thank you for your blog entitled “A Glimpse of My Life in La Rochelle”. Your photos and information have been an invaluable launching point. Have you ever heard of La Rochelle being one of the few formerly assigned Huguenaut strongholds assigned by France’s Henry IV in 1589? Any historic information that you may have concerning Huguenauts and Henry IV’s reign through Louis IVX’s reign would be a wonderful help. Thank you for all your hard work on your blog! Sincerely, Faith
