Blackpool's attempt to attract the French tourists

I enjoyed watching last night’s rebranding of Margate on The Apprentice

Then this morning I caught a glimpse of this video on BBC News and felt compelled to add it to mon petit blog.

I am not sure if the board of tourism in Blackpool will succeed in attracting the French but one message came across: Blackpool is changing and adapting to the more demanding *sophisticated* market.

I love the self-mockery and cheesiness of the video…but perhaps it could have emphasized on the Lancashire food culture – The French love experiencing new food and traditions and would no doubt enjoy sampling the English tea & cakes ritual!

I have never been to Blackpool – have you?

The French are, of course, the epitome of sophistication …….. *crosses fingers* ……… tee hee

The re-branding of Margate on the Apprentice made me really ‘itchy’. Even an ol’ fella like me could have done better ……….
