35 came and went yesterday and the sun was here to celebrate the event !
I enjoyed early morning poems, lunch al fresco, a late afternoon bike ride by the sea, the day also brought
tons of good wishes online and off , the usual drivel of sarcasm from my 2 week toyboy …I insist, for two
whole weeks every year I am repeatedly reminded of our two weeks age difference …
This year was no exeption and he came up with the best line of all so far in our relationship:
“You are officially the oldest woman I have ever slept with…”
Tasteful!
Luckily I have learnt to ignore his plea for attention and put it down to lack of confidence…being two weeks
younger he can never catch up with me…
The cake as you can see was delicious, the colours of the day truly amazing and I truly felt like the luckiest
woman on earth…
I leave you with a tasteful poem my daughter wrote especially (it was the perfect antidote to my hubby lousy “spirit”):
Mum you are as beautiful as a rose
Mum you smell lovely
Mum you shine in the light
Mum you are so bright
Mum you are so colourful
Mum you are never dull
Mum I love you so much
and I always will
A

Sounds like a fantastic birthday indeed-
May another 35 arrive just as pleasantly.

You know Sylvie, I once said that remark to my Husband a few years ago, only I said” You’re the oldest man I have ever slept with” I don’t recommend saying that to a man, they lose all sorts of sleep over it!
Hugs and sugar to you “ole girl” of course I am older LOL I’m almost 50, October in fact!
